Letter from William S. Boyd Law School to the NACJ
William S. Boyd School of Law Scholarship
I write this letter on behalf of the Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice ("NACJ"). The time has once again come for our organization to offer our annual scholarship in the amount of $1,500 to a Boyd student who has shown enthusiasm in speaking for those accused of committing crimes and protecting their civil liberties. The student that receives this scholarship should be a student who has expressed their interest in criminal defense by participating in one of Boyd's numerous criminal defense related clinics, who is active in the criminal law association, who has chosen to enroll in criminal defense orientated classes or who has participated in an externship with the federal or state public defenders office, the American Civil Liberties Union or with a private firm that practices criminal defense.
We are hopeful that your selection of the Boyd student who receives this scholarship will one day join the ranks of NACJ. I have enclosed a check in the amount of $1,500. We are very excited about this opportunity to build
a relationship between our organization and the law school. When you have selected the recipient of this scholarship, please contact us so that we can invite him or her to join us at our annual dinner usually held in the month of June.
